Started training Kodokan Judo and in October that same year started training in Karate-Do at the Plumstead dojo, at the age of 9 years old. |

Taught at the Weapons Gashuku in Cape Town. Initiated the systemization of the Kushido Kobudo syllabus. |

Judged the Kobudo division at the Goodwill Martial Arts Festival in Bellville. Taught at the 20th anniversary of the Swiss International Gashuku. |

Taught at all the South African Gashuku held in Cape Town. |

Began teaching as Head Instructor at Honbu dojo, Cape Town. Awarded the title of Chief Instructor. Invited to teach at the International Gashuku held in Hoedspruit. |

Taught at the Riverside Dojo in Gauteng. Graded Rokudan (6th Dan). Invited to teach at the 25th Anniversary International Gashuku in Switzerland. |

Chief instructor at the South African Kushido Gashuku. Lead self defence courses a number of organizations, including Old Mutual and for professionals in the security industry. |
